4. Professional indemnity insurance
Lawyers are obliged according to Section 51 Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung and notaries public according to Section 19a Bundesnotarordnung to maintain professional indemnity insurance. Our worldwide professional indemnity insurance is maintained with HDI-Gerling Firmen und Privat Versicherung AG, Riethorst 2, 30659 Hanover, Germany, whereas there is no coverage for indemnity claims being based on other than German law if such claims are enforced by legal action before US courts.
